St Hallett Wines

Client: St Hallett Wines

Project Type: Winery

Location: Tanunda, South Australia

Project Summary:

BGi Building Group was engaged to design new spaces that incorporated existing buildings and set areas to house the Cellar Door and Winery Administration.

The work involved joining new facilities to old buildings to ensure the old and new were blended into open, usable & flexible spaces.

Within the cellar door, recycled timbers from an old local flour mill were used in association with ironstone internal and external walls. The recycled timbers and old red bricks created a new outside seating area.

The Administration Hub involved the redevelopment of an old house and an extension to the old homestead. Internal stone walls were removed, and large bi-folding timber windows were installed to create a large board room that doubles as a training facility.

The new sections of the building are open plan to allow for flexibility of workstation location, maximising all workable space for the comfort of all staff.
